- The title of our film 'The Truth Never Dies', we chose this because our main character tries to deny the truth about what she's done.
- The length of the film is one hour and half.
- The target audience of our film is males and females aged 15 and over. It will be aimed at people who are interested in the psychological thriller genre. However it will also attract more females as our main protagonist is a woman and statistically women are more interested with our genre, psychological thrillers, as it focuses on the mind.
- The certificate of the film is 15 due to the violent theme throughout. Also, it includes blood in one of the scenes which could be disturbing to some younger viewers.
- We chose Warp Films to distribute our film because it is located in Sheffield therefore it is local to us and it distributes independent films with original and controversial storylines. We also researched Twisted Pictures as it produces horror films but we didn't think we would have a chance to work with a mainstream production company.
- Our film starts off in a therapy session with our main character, Lucy and her therapist. They are discussing her current family situation and what happened, Lucy states that she can't remember what happened but we included flashbacks so the audience are informed on what actually happened. It shows Lucy coping with what happened and we see her in a distressed mental state. It becomes clear that Lucy's father was an alcoholic and in the argument shown in the flashback he killed Louise (Lucy's mother). This is why Lucy takes revenge and murders her father however she feels guilty and this is why she has voices in her head.
- In our full film we will continue to use jump cuts and sound effects to dis-orientate the viewer and continue the eerie effect we created in the first two minutes. We were going to add a voice over of David shouting at Lucy, later on in the film this will become clear that this is what David said to her before Lucy murdered him.
