Photo Storyboard
We began with a medium shot in order to establish the scene and the characters. The clinical background proves this is a therapy session. We use 180 degree rule and shot reverse shot to show a conversation between the two characters. We used quiet sinister music to build up tension and to demonstrate the genre.

We used a fade to black to signify this was a flashback, it was a long shot of Lucy on the stairs crying, rocking backwards and forwards with her head in her hands. There is a non-digetic sound of her parents arguing followed by a female scream. A fade out to white is used and we are back in the therapy session.

We are in the therapy session and an over the shoulder shot is used of Sophia to demonstrate she is still asking a lot of questions. We then use a point of view shot of Lucy messing with her hands, this shows she is nervous and anxious about the event.
A second flashback is shown, Lucy is frantically searching for a knife. We used faced paced editing to connote that Lucy was in a frantic, worried state and wasn't thinking properly. Non- diegetic sound of a heart beat and heavy breathing is used, this amplifies Lucy's mental state which is the psychological element of the film.

We return to the therapy session and Lucy begins to cry because she can't cope with the questions, we fade to black into the final flashback.
The final flashback makes the storyline become clear as it shows Lucy's father laid dead on the floor, we know Lucy was the one who killed him from her holding the knife with blood on. We used jump cuts and put an effect on this section in order to disorientate the viewer and imply it was a blur for Lucy. We used sinister music as a jump scare as it came in unexpectedly.
We then show the title of the film, it is in red to connote blood and anger. We chose this because Lucy tries to forget the truth. We also thought it was catchy so people would remember it.
The final section of our film is Lucy walking to the toilet, this shows that she is a student at school. We hear voices which emphasises that she is mentally unstable. The film ends with Lucy sat crying on the floor which further amplifies this idea.
