6) What have you learnt
about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
I mainly used blogger.com for my pre-production
work, this allowed me to clearly demonstrate my research around our topic area;
psychological thriller. By using blogger, everyone in our group can post
individual or shared posts, this allowed us to organise our work. Blogger
enabled me to use various kinds of media platforms, such as Prezi, Slide share,
Google docs. This was done in order to make our blog look interesting, I also
type up on to Blogger so our blog looks a little more sophisticated. The background
for our blog was chosen carefully, the light and dark colours contrasting
create a blood splat effect; relating to our chosen genre.
During pre-production, Celtic was used to produce the script. This technology was simple to use and is quite self-explanatory, it made writing the script a straightforward task.
We used a Panasonic HC-V270 camera and a tripod to shoot our
film. The camera was affordable yet provides the quality we needed to produce
our film. As an independent company, we couldn’t afford a high quality camera,
so this was our best option. The camera was easy to work, and tripod aided us
when we wanted to use different kinds of shots, such as high angle shots.
For our post-production work we used Adobe Premier
Pro to edit our film, this was easy to use this was needed as I was still
inexperienced at editing. Premier Pro provided us with high quality editing and
allowed us to explore with using effects and transitions in our film; such as
the ‘Echo’ effect.
